Manual Registrations will be taken at Fergusson Park Soccer Clubrooms 3:30 - 5:30pm Saturday 16th October, and also 6:30am Sunday 17th October. Cash or Cheque only for manual entries.

EVENT DETAILS

Sunday October 17th
START 7am for 7K Walkers
START 7:30am for 7K Runners
Fergusson Park, Matua, Tauranga.

Registration at Fergusson Park on Sat 16th Oct 3:30 - 5:30pm and/or from 6:30am Sun 17th Oct. Only 1 person from the team needs to register the team and pick up the race pack.

COST

$95 Team Entry for 3 people. Each leg of the run has to be done by a different team member. Suggested Breakdown is 21k=$45, 14k=$30, 7k=$20. Entry is $105 after 1 Oct. Remember we donate $42 from your entry to World Vision!

Cash or Cheque Entries accepted at Sport BOP or Smith's Sport Shoes. Online Entries Close 4pm Thurs 14th Oct. Walk in Entries Close 4pm Fri 15th Oct. Singlet orders close 8 Oct. Entries open at Registration Sat 16th Oct.

Race Briefing Times

It is very important that all team members attend a Race Briefing before they start their leg. Briefings will be held in the TRANSITION area at 30 minute intervals from 6:45am until 9:15am. Please get yourself to a briefing that is closest to your estimated start time.

7k Walkers and Runners are the only participants with fixed start times, being 7am and 7:30am respectively.

THE COURSE

The 21k course is a "figure of eight" 2 lap 10.5km course. See Map Below.

The 7km course makes its way to from Fergusson Park through Matua Road to Levers Road, then follows the figure of 8 course up until Bureta Rd, where it turns onto Ngatai Rd and follows the figure of 8 course back to Fergusson Park. The 14km run is two loops of the 7km course.

Both courses cross over in the middle and are an interesting mix of undulating hills and flats, taking in the beautiful scenary of the waterfront and the Mount.

You can load up your own photo's and story of why you are doing this event, then send out an email to your friends letting them know how they can support you, and this great cause. RACE RULES

Every team must have 3 participants and each leg is to be covered by a different participant.

Race numbers must be secured to the runner before he leaves the transition area.

All participants must be off Levers/Ngatai Roads by 1:30pm, this means all participants must be able to complete the course in 6.5 hours. Event concludes at 2pm.

There will be 2 water stations on the courses and one at Fergusson Park.

Participants MUST run/walk on the footpath whilst on Levers and Ngatai Road, and only run a maximum of 2 a breast.

Participants must obey marshals instructions at all times. This is an OPEN ROAD event, which means there are no road closures.

Walkers must walk the entire event, if you are wanting to jog/walk you must enter as a runner.

Failure to comply with these safety rules will result in your disqualification from the event.

SOLO ENTRANTS

This is a team event, however if you dont have a team but still wish to be part of the event, we will try and put you in touch with others who may also be looking for a team. Please email me on lifenet@xtra.co.nz if you are interested in finding a team.
